Harborview Loft
Racing Pigeons

Competing on a club level against (5-15) lofts , in the North Section (65-100 lofts) of the Greater Boston Concourse (100-150 lofts) this loft has won the following A.U. and other National awards since first flying in 1982:

In 2001 I was diagnosed with a serious health problem and havn't been able to fly pigeons the way I would like to! After many surgical procedures and six months of chemo, I hope the worst is in the past. In 2004 I got good news about my condition and had a decent YB series. It's good to be alive.

The time has come for Harborview to retire from pigeons. Since being sick I find it very difficult to do the work it takes to be at the top consistently. Rather than be an also ran I have decided to retire! On Dec.10, 2011 my pigeons were auctioned off at the SCC clubhouse. It was tough to say bye to the pigeons I love so much. One big reason was because a hawk had eaten too many of my best pigeons. It's hard enough to raise good pigeons without them being eaten before your eyes.

In 2011 we won 2 OB races in the competetive Malden club and one 2nd including many other good positions. One of our babies won the Plymouth Club weekly auction race two times. Another was 3rd Malden Auction and another was 8th SCC auction for another flyer. Over the years my good friend Mark Arigo has taken my pigeons to continue my inbred family.
